We the people of the State of New York, in order to form a more perfect Union, hereby call for a review of the current laws pertaining to the criminalization of Marijuana. Our Organization has been drafted with the sole purpose and responsibility of erasing the negative stigma associated with the medical and recreational uses of Marijuana.
Our aims and goals as an Organization are simple. We wish to push the discussion of Marijuana, in all its aspects, toward a more positive direction. We would like to see the current views on Marijuana reexamined; its image was born from a smear campaign almost 75 years old. We only wish to present the information available to help the public become better informed. We are confident that with a careful review of the facts people will clearly see our current legislation is at best outdated, at worst detrimental to society. Our efforts will examine the negative effect this legislation has on our society – from the bottom to the top. We plan to use this reexamination to show the benefits gleaned from a relaxation of the current policy.
We undertake this mission with the knowledge that it is an uphill battle. We understand many in our society are preconditioned to believe in Marijuana as the “killer weed”. But, we feel as though our society is standing on the edge of the precipice. It is here on the brink, where humanity has a chance to achieve a real shift, whether it is in perception or action. We have formed our organization, in recognition of these times, to further perpetuate this change, in whatever form it may take.

Green Army NY, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization formed under the laws of the state of New York to promote change in the public perception of marijuana use; to endeavor to change state laws and policies to allow for the legalization, sale and use of marijuana; to erase the stigma associated with the medical and recreational uses of marijuana; to examine the effects the criminalization of marijuana has on society; and to promote, foster and advance positive discussion on the legalization of marijuana.
